C.T.M.
by Howie Goldwasser

One of the least popular and most hated activities at Timberlane is called C.T.M. (Camp Timberlane Maintenance, actually just a fancy title for garbage work). Sure, a kid could take basketball and get bored out of his skull, but in C.T.M. you pick up different garbage each day! The head of this activity is highly trained John Marks, who is majoring in garbage at Indiana University.

As one staff member was overhead saying, “No one is suited better for the job than John.”

Mr. Marks’ program was greatly benefited this year by the purchase of a new vehicle, a 1966 Chevrolet 2-door pickup. Equipped with a pair of sport mirrors (one missing), a doorgate that works, and a Timber-first: a front WINDSHIELD! Trained by Barry Schulman, Marks may enter the 1980 Olympics to prove his skill.

Due to it’s popularity, C.T.M. may even become a U.N. Day event!
