Riflery
by Ronny Richker

Riflery is fun because you just set up the targets and the man says “Ready on the right, ready on the the left, ammunition load and lock, toes out, and fire when ready!”
Riflery is one of the first best protections. The best thing you can get is a bull’s eye, and a bull’s eye is ten points. Every time you shoot you must have the end of the gun on your shoulder. The gun is not heavy. The bullets are not that loud. The first position is lying down. The second position is sitting up, and the third is kneeling. The fourth position is standing.
Sometimes-the bullets are stored in an orange case. With five bullets and a score of fifty, you get a steak dinner.
There are certain rules you have to follow in riflery. Never point a rifle at a person, and never keep the point of the gun at the ground or it will ruin the muzzle. Always keep the gun up or down.
Timberlane uses 22-calibre guns and 22-calibre bullets. When you are finished with your gun, never go up and get your targets before the man says you can. Never go behind the targets while kids are shooting because the bullet goes through the targets. Lay the bolt side to the ground and always keep the muzzle over the cement.
