THINGS TO COME
BY ADAM ZIMMERMAN & JOHN CYRLUK

Mark Faiwell has always wanted to own a camp, since he was fifteen years old. His dream came true this year when he bought the camp from Harold Hiken. He had been to Timberlane for 14 years as the head of tripping and as an S.C. He feels that the main reason he bought the camp is because if he hadn’t, someone else would have, and the tradition of Timberlane would be changed. In the next year, Mark plans on changing the trim color of all buildings in camp from blue to brown (only a few buildings in camp have been painted so far), so that the camp will blend in better with the woods.

Also, the present Blue and White competitions will be changed to Brown and White. Other changes in coming years include resurfacing the tennis courts, and repaneling the insides of every cabin. More socials are being planned for next year, including one with camp Otahnagon. Competition next year will be with Camp Red Arrow in a whole day of athletic activity.

This year we also competed with Red Arrow, as well as Camp Kawaga first session; both proved to be very enjoyable for those who participated.

REMEMBER...TIMBERLIFE will also be back next year with bigger and better things to write about, so if you didn’t get a chance to write an article this year, don’t worry we’ll be back!!!!!!!
