Seems like Ben is having a good time...he's certainly smiling in all the pictures...it was tough at first, but the recent letters have had nothing bad to say. Second generation Branovan at Camp second session
Jordan Branovan is at camp Timberlane second session and doing well. He wrote to me several times and said Camp is awesome and wants to go next year for 8 weeks. Sure feels strange around the house with out him, wondering each minute what he may be doing and when "Hell night" is! Sure would be great to be in his shoes and do it again! Memphis Weather
Memphis weather. Tuesday morning at 6:30 AM we had 100 MPH winds rip through the city with massive destruction. Yes thats 100 Miles Per Hour. Stronger than most hurricanes, I think. More than 300,000 people lost their power. Now almost 3 days later 250,000 are still without. I was very lucky. We got our power back on in 1 day. (I still have no power, email or phones at the office though.) We had a fair amount of tree damage but nothing signifigant to the house thank G-d. I am still waiting to get a crane over to remove the big Oak from my back yard. JP's parents yard looks like it was leveled with napalm (sp). My brother had a 100 yr old Oak come through the middle of his new house. My brother's office building also burned to the ground 3 weeks ago as well. We are all very lucky because I don't know anyone who was hurt. It is amazing. FYI-JP and his bride just bought a very cool large house with lots of room (with a pool and pool table) for all of you to stay in. Please come down and stay with him anytime. Filling Up Fast
Hello all. All of the large rooms & suites are now booked thru Labor Day. We do have 2 Futons & a couple of closets available Labor Day weekend and they are going for full rate of $79.00/nite, but that does include continental b'fast....(Lazy B'fast on Sunday though). One small closet is always saved for PUD, but as you all know, it ALWAYS is empty!! Children are always welcome, but must be potty trained. We survived the storm as well....only lost power for about 30 hours. As for the camp phrases, although it wasn't actually created at camp, Mr. Gorchoff & his KANTO TROUT RANCH ranks as one of my favorites.
